Compatibility

A functioning hard-wired doorbell system is required for installation. We will confirm your doorbell is compatible with your your home. Access to doorbell transformer may be required; these are typically located behind doorbell chime, in attic, basement, crawl space, or closet.

Troubleshooting

Voltage and transformer issues may prevent technician from installing doorbell. If your doorbell requires additional work, our techs will quote the additional cost.

Access to circuit breaker is required to shut-off power to doorbell system during installation. Disabling power to doorbell system may also affect power to other areas of your home. Doorbell may not conceal all holes or markings left by original doorbell.  

Not Included

Additional add-ons like replacing your transformer, installing a power adapter or other non-standard items which the technician can assess and quote at an additional cost. Installation of a power adapter may be possible if you don’t currently have a functioning hard-wired doorbell which the technician can assess and quote at an additional cost.

Installation

Installation of the Nest Cam Outdoor or Nest Cam IQ Outdoor by a professionally trained smart home tech. Includes helping to identify and assess the installation location, wiring, power setup and cable management.

Existing Outlet

Camera must be installed within 25 feet of an existing outlet. Cameras must be plugged into either an indoor outlet or a covered outdoor outlet. Depending on your mounting preference and outlet availability, new holes may be required through exterior walls.

Not Included

Additional add-ons which may be required if you do not have a compatible exterior or interior power source within 25 feet of the installation location, or if we are unable to reach an interior power source by drilling a hole through the exterior of your home, and other non-standard items, which the technician can assess and quote at an additional cost.
